The graphics card has already been deployed and integrated into the Faculty’s computing infrastructure. It enables advanced artificial intelligence computations and the local deployment of large language models (LLMs), eliminating the need to rely on external cloud-based services. Performance benchmarking and capability testing of the new hardware are currently underway.

Starting from the next semester, the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 will be used in selected teaching activities as well as in student and research projects. The expansion of the Faculty’s computing infrastructure marks another step towards strengthening expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning and modern data processing methods.

We would like to thank AMD for providing the hardware and for supporting the development of the university’s research infrastructure.
