Sztuczna inteligencja w edukacji: szansa, którą warto mądrze wykorzystać

The increasing popularity and availability of generative AI (GenAI) tools is raising a range of emotions, often leading to polarisation of attitudes towards it – from enthusiasm related to its transformative potential to concerns about its impact on the quality of education, interpersonal relationships and the integrity of the teaching process. Understanding the role that GenAI can play in the educational process and adopting a proactive attitude towards it seems to be a key factor to redefining educational institutions and the progressive adoption of this technology.

The use of generative artificial intelligence at various levels of education cannot be seen only as another step in the process of digitalisation of schools, on a par with the introduction of e.g. interactive boards. GenAI is a technology that redefines the way of learning and teaching. This forces us to ask ourselves how to use this technology in a thoughtful and comprehensive way, leaving the man (teacher, pupil, student) and their needs at the centre of our interest

– says Dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz.

The "Biała Księga Sztucznej Inteligencji w Polskiej Szkole", [White Book of Artificial Intelligence in Polish Schools] may prove helpful in this process. It has been developed by a team of excellent experts from the Section for Digital Education of the Committee on Informatics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, including Dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz. The document is available at the following link: https://ki.pan.pl/
