Apply for the UNIC HEI Awards for Inclusive Higher Education

We encourage applications for the UNIC HEI Award aimed at recognizing educators who create and set exemplary standards in promoting diversity and creating an inclusive environment (Diversity, Inclusion). The awards are conferred for courses taught and are presented as virtual badges confirming excellence in integrating diversity and inclusion into teaching. Applications are accepted from 1 September to 16 November 2025.

To be eligible for the UNIC HEI Award, the course must meet the following formal criteria:

  • The course must be offered within the UNIC Alliance.
  • The course should be accessible for enrolment to students from at least one UNIC partner university apart from the university offering the course.
  • The course must be conducted in English.
  • The formal course description or curriculum should address themes related to superdiversity, diversity, and/or inclusion.
  • It must have had been delivered at least once prior to applying for the UNIC HEI Award for Best Practices in Inclusive Higher Education and must be an ongoing course.

Applications are accepted from 1 September 16 November 2025. The awards will be presented in December 2025. The registration form and more information can be found on the UNIC website.
