         My activity concentrates on research of the physical, chemical and magnetic structures of the solid state surface. Studies of the physical and chemical structures include both morphology parameters and chemical composition. The analytical methods employed here are scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis.

         We carry out materials testing for fundamental research and for applications in new technologies as well.

         Laboratory's equipment includes Vega5135 MM Tescan scanning electron microscope (SEM) with built-in EDX Link 300 ISIS Oxford Instruments spectrometer.

         Vega 5135 MM Tescan scanning electron microscope is a digital microscope of the second generation. It operates in two working modes: high as well as low vacuum.

         In addition, Laboratory has at its disposal  BS 340 Tesla scanning electron microscope and MED 020 Balzers equipment for thin film sputter deposition.
